Statistics and follow-ups
Statistics and following up our patients is something we take very seriously at Victoriakliniken We believe that without proper monitoring and evaluation of the results, one can not develop and improve.
With the help of the data we collected during follow-ups, we create statistics that give us a good picture of how our unique approach works.
These statistics help us to increase safety, reduce complications and create better results.

Training & lectures
Dr. Randquist also uses statistics to train other surgeons around the world in how to best carry out plastic surgery treatments.
Our statistics for breast enlargements involves over 2,000 patients, operated on over a 15-year-period.
Our patients
Patient statistics
With over 2000 primary breast augmentations conducted, we have a very clear picture of our “average patient”. The statistics are collected based on measurements and questions before surgery, and at subsequent follow-ups.
As you can see, it is about half of our patients that have children.
Pregnancy, and the duration of breastfeeding affects a woman’s body in many ways, therefore this is important knowledge.
A Swedish woman weighs on average approximately 67 kg (148 lbs).
Victoriaklinikens patients weighs nearly 10 kg below that on average. It is an important aspect to take into account when selecting implants etc.

Follow-ups
Follow-up statistics
At Victoriakliken, we have free follow-ups of breast augmentation surgery at 6 months, 2 years and 4 years. This is because we want to discover any problems as early as possible. During the follow-ups we ask questions and take measurements and photos, which is the basis for our comprehensive statistics.
At Victoriakliniken the incision is normally placed under the breast during a breast augmentation. This method involves the absolute minimum risk to the patient and gives the surgeon the best control during surgery. The scars will look very good after some time, and our patients are satisfied.
The scars may cause some pain for some time after surgery. But the majority of our patients experience little or no pain once the stitches are taken out.
We have very satisfied patients, as seen from this graph. The few patients who are dissatisfied, have often had the misfortune to suffer several complications.
In addition to the above diagram, it’s worth mentioning that 91.5% of our breast patients, gives 7-10 in the ratings.

Soft values
“soft statistics”
We collect data on “soft values”, which can be about how you feel in different situations, about ones self-image and how the surgery has transformed this. We conduct surveys before and after a breast augmentation.
A very common reason for many patients to undergo breast augmentation surgery, is the feeling that the breasts don’t fit well with the rest of the body.
Most often this is connected to size, and the feeling that the bust is too small.
For ones own well-being it is important to feel comfortable with oneself.
Although the reasons behind this might have more to do with factors other than the appearance, what you see in the mirror every day also has an impact on the whole.
