Statistics patients – who are you?
We work a lot with statistics about our patients. Basic data such as age, weight and height gives us a good picture of who our average patient is. The number of children, if they are smoking and the measurements of the body in general, is also important information to collect, in order to make the right choices and achieve the best possible result.
Statistics on our patients
The average patient of Victoriakliniken:
Age: 30.3 yrs
Weight: 58.1 kg/128.1 lbs
Height: 167.8 cm/5′ 6″
The largest single group of women who undergo breast augmentation at Victoriakliniken are young women (aged 18-24) who have usually not given birth (31.25%).
The average age of our patients for the entire period (2000-2016) is 30.3 years.
The average Swedish woman weighs just over 67 kg (148 lbs) and has a body mass index of about 24.5.
The average patient at Victoriakliniken weighs nearly 10 kgs (22 lbs) less than the national average and has a BMI of 20.6.
This is an important aspect to consider when choosing implants, medication etc.
As you can see, the size of the implants increased slightly over the last 16 years at Victoriakliniken. Exactly why this is we do not know. Perhaps it’s a combination of women’s wishes, and a shift of beauty ideals. At Victoriakliniken however we put harmony and symmetry before size, and we say no to requests for very large implants.
Right side implant average is slightly higher because the left breast in general naturally is a little bigger because of its proximity to the heart.
About half of our patients have children, when they undergo their breast augmentation.
Swedish women on average have 1.9 children.
At Victoriakliniken our breast augmentation patients had on average 2.1 children when they undergo their surgery (for women who have given birth). (2000-2016)
