Information about implant change
An implant replacement is made either because of a complication that requires re-operation, and where for some reason the same implant can’t be reused, or simply because of a size-change.
At Victoriakliniken we see more and more patients who have had their primary surgery at another clinic or abroad, who suffers from complications that requires a re-operation.
We’d like to urge you to be careful when choosing where to do your primary surgery. The initial price might be lower when going to some clinics in Sweden and other countries, who are competing mainly on price. But often the end result is bad, or complications happen that is not covered and the final cost is often very high, when you need to pay again, for a re-operation.
Select a great clinic from the start, rather than looking only at the price differences.
Also, sometimes a lot more is included in the higher price, which makes the final cost for primary surgery lower in the end.

Prices implant changeEach operation is unique and individual. Our prices are therefore usually shown as an interval within which the final price ends up. The final price can only be set after a consultation.
Prices are exclusive of VAT. From the beginning of 2015, procedures that are not performed on medical grounds are subject to VAT. Whether your surgery is medically motivated or not, is also something that must be decided at a personal meeting.
