About the procedure
Typically, the removal of breast gland tissue through an incision at the edge of the areola is combined with liposuction. The fat that is removed cannot return, as fat cells do not regenerate; they only grow and shrink, making liposuction an excellent method to use locally around the breasts. Younger individuals often have more elastic skin, which provides the best conditions for achieving optimal results. How much the skin can contract after liposuction is crucial for the final outcome.
Before the surgery
Based on each patient’s natural and unique conditions, we discuss and explain various ways to achieve the best results. We assess the amount of glandular and fat excess present and the quality of the patient’s skin. We describe the different techniques we use to optimize sculpting and how the procedure is performed.
Technique
Liposuction begins with injecting a solution containing local anesthesia and adrenaline. Often, this involves the same volume as the amount of fat that is expected to be removed. The fat cells in the area are suctioned out using negative pressure. Small incisions, approximately five millimeters long, are made where a tube with various types of holes—depending on the desired method of liposuction—is inserted. These incisions leave very small, nearly invisible scars. Sometimes, it may be necessary to combine liposuction with the removal of glandular tissue. Additionally, drainage tubes may need to be placed to evacuate excess fluid and minimize swelling.
During the surgery
The operation is usually performed under general anesthesia, which means you are completely pain-free and asleep during the procedure. Depending on the extent of the procedure, it can also be performed under local anesthesia, which often allows you to go home the same day.
After the surgery
Follow-up occurs within a week with your plastic surgeon at the clinic. If you have gone home with drains, they are usually removed at that time. For the first three weeks after the surgery, you should normally wear a compression garment both day and night. After that, it should be worn at night for an additional three weeks.
Results
Bruising may occur but usually disappears within a couple of weeks. Massage of the skin, a good diet, adequate fluid intake, and avoiding nicotine products can accelerate the healing process and ensure the best possible final result. The results are generally long-lasting after the surgery.

Price
We have chosen not to have a fixed price list, as each patient is unique with individual needs. In most cases, it’s only during the consultation that we can determine, together with you, which procedure(s) will be best to achieve a beautiful final result. With us, in addition to the surgery cost, anesthesia, medications, follow-up visits, compression garments, and bras are included, as well as, in most cases, at least one overnight stay after the surgery.
