Motiva implants

At Victoriakliniken, we use only products of the highest quality. Your safety is our top priority, which is why we have chosen to use Motiva implants from the manufacturer Establishment Labs. The implants have several innovative features that make them safer than many other options available on the market. Thanks to the implant’s SilkSurface technology, the risk of capsule formation and inflammation in the body, as well as other complications typically associated with traditional breast implants, is reduced. Motiva implants are CE-approved and are in the process of becoming FDA-approved. Victoriakliniken is one of three clinics outside the USA participating in the FDA study to get the implants approved in the USA.

Size and type

Motiva implants vary in size from 100 ml to 1050 ml and come in four different models with varying projection. The implants are round in shape and are available in two types. While both types feel natural and soft, one is firmer than the other and is called Motiva Round. The other type is called Motiva Ergonomix. If you choose Motiva Ergonomix, you will achieve a more natural appearance as the gel distributes more like that of anatomical implants. You will find that they feel and move like natural breasts because the gel is softer than many other options.

Operation

Technique

Motiva implants can be inserted through the breast fold, the nipple, or the armpit. The vast majority have the implants placed through the natural fold under the breast, as this results in a scar that becomes nearly invisible after the breast surgery.

During the consultation with your plastic surgeon, you will together determine which method and type of Motiva breast implant is most suitable based on your body’s biological characteristics and your preferences.

Possibility of breastfeeding after surgery

Naturally, many women want to be able to breastfeed their children. You do not need to forgo breast surgery because you believe it will ruin your ability to breastfeed. If you have your breast surgery performed here at Victoriakliniken, you will be able to breastfeed in the future. This is because the glandular tissue is not cut during the surgery, so there is still the possibility of breastfeeding afterward.
